Saturday Afternoons #4

A post dedicated to my love of October Afternoon, a manufacturing company with pretty crafty stuff!

Sometimes a design comes into your life and you just can't stop loving it. Click HERE to see mine. Thank you Laurie Willson for inspiring this creation. You are a master at making the top of a card shine!

loved the design so much, made a bunch!

SATURDAY AFTERNOON STORY TIME:

Being a parent means you get to answer some really interesting questions. For example:

Sophia, age 9: "Mom, why do they call it a pair of underwear when there is only one?"

Me, age 36: uhhhh...

Anyone want to help me out with this one?

Going to enter this in Casual Fridays Challenge #85 to incorporate one thing circle in the card...see that pretty button? yup!

  3. This is so beautiful, Wida! The patterned paper really brings the flower and leaves to life.
Ok, I think I can help you with Sophia's question. Tell her that things that are meant for double parts of the body or that are made of two similar (and usually simetrical) parts are called pairs. A pair of trousers (two legs), glasses (two eyes), gloves (two hands), scissors (two simetrical parts). I guess in the case of underwear there are two holes for our two legs. Don't ask me why bra is singular though, lol!

  17. oooh, love this design and the super-fresh colors, Wida! The numbers on the top are great! Aren't you so happy coming up with a beautiful design and having it be easily repeatable? Interesting on the underwear. I haven't gotten that question yet. My boys are too busy wrestling each other : )
