Moxi Fab World Hello Challenge

Moxi Fab World is having a Stamp It! Cards Week Challenge and I am entering the above to the HELLO cards category.

The card was pretty simple, thanks to my friend Marcy who helped me make it.

1. Take a one inch square punch and punch out shapes in the desired color scheme (mine is rainbow, my favorite).

2. Die cut the cloud. I used the negative for this card.

3. stamp the Hello sentiment

4. raise color block panel on pop ups.

PS. use lots of tape because, honest these were down great but then they started to lift like that blue one that is bothering me A LOT!!!

My inspiration, sorry, I can't remember the source:

Thanks for stopping by!

Young Crafters Unite: Sewing and Stitching

Young Crafters Unite has a challenge to make a project using stitching. I made this scrapbook page a while ago and thought I would use it as an inspiration for a card.

The weird thing is that I love "random cluster" (that's what I call it) on my scrapbook pages and I think I do that fine, but darn if I can't figure it out in a card.So my card is a bit simpler.

Supplies: stamps Hero Arts, Stampin Up, Stella and Rose Girly Stamp set. (the pretties doilies EVER), stampin Up heart punch

I know what you are thinking if you have been viewing my cards. There is no theme, no specific style. Well let me tell you, my wise friend Angela said to me one day, "DON'T BOX YOURSELF INTO ONE CATAGORY, BECAUSE YOU MAY FIND YOU MIGHT CHANGE YOUR MIND." I am glad she did. I like so many styles, as I do music, and art, and clothes, it is hard to stay in one specific style. Plus, I work in Family Practice where you have to know a little about every disease, so that's how I work. At least you will be surprised by every post ;)

And one day, maybe my friend and silent follower, Angela will leave a comment...just sayin'

Ok, well that's all I got for today, till next time

Runway Inspired Challenge #8

There is only one challenge site that I haven't missed a single challenge for since starting my blog...

I was trying to mimic the lace top the model was wearing on the background. Hope you can see it. I was also inspired by one of my favorite card makers, Mariana Grigsby. Not only does she make beautiful cards, but they are  also fun, detailed, and colorful.

Runway Inspired Challenge did it again! Check out this photo:

This challenge brought out some really eye catching cards. The design team really outdid themselves again this week too. Check them out here. You will also see my winning card from the last challenge! YEAH ME!

The model looked Japanese to me so I pulled out my sweet Japanese Doll stamp set by Hero Arts. I am going to try to refrain from entering a million cards for the challenge this time, though it's hard to resist!

Thanks for Stopping by,

Wida

Embellish Spring Color Challenge

tap. tap. tap.

IS THIS BLOG ON?

Feels like lately no one is interested in cards made by yours truly. But the show must go on even when all you hear in the audience is crickets!

I am entering a challenge with some high rollin' bloggers. The entries and design team are really really phenomenal. I have absolutely no chance of winning and I TOTALLY accept that. I just wanted a chance to play with them.

A spring card for your viewing pleasure...all 3 of you. and probably one of you is sick with the flu which seems to be picking up momentum lately at work. so that leaves 2 of you. thanks for stopping by. hehe...

Sometimes I just crack myself up!!

Supplies: Hero Arts (like the whole stamp set!)

Embellish Magazine's inspiration:

My 2 year old daughter, Anya, says this card is "lovely"...so it's a winner to me!

Stay healthy,

ADDICTED

Hi.

My name is Wida and I am ADDICTED to card challenges.

Is it normal to start a blog and then want to win every challenge out there and become totally consumed with entering all of them, some of them multiple times??

Ok, don't tell me if it's not.

I am hoping this pendulum will swing back to center soon!

Here we go again, the photos on Runway Inspired Challenge and CAS-ual Fridays just get my mind going with card creations!

Supplies: stamp Hero Arts, PTI. Stampin Up Heart punch

And the inspirational line up...

Till next time I hope,

1 Card 2 Challenges

Ahhh, another RIC card you say? Sort of, this one is going to another challenge as well.

Supplies: stamp Hero Arts Newspaper skyline stamp, Lawn Fawn.

CFC43Making a sentimental card in a clean and simple way. CHECK!

I wish I could find a stamp that says HELLO FROM ALL OF US, cuz that that what I was trying to say. Sadly I didn't have one, so a bow went instead.

And the stellar runway photo that started me on a roll again, and I am not subconsciously mentioning that fat roll prize I lost last week on RIC...yes I am.

More to come tomorrow!

PDCC118

Another browsed blog, another challenge found. Play Date Cafe Challenge #118. You might wonder how I have time to browse all these blogs and make all these cards with 4 kids and a job and a house, and a husband, and so on? Or you may not!

This card was finished after my kids went to bed. I started it while they were in the craft room with me. We were making their school valentine's cards together. I made the flowers that went on top and then got STUCK. I decided to step away rather than hurt the card even more than I already had (notice the wrinked flowers), hehe.

When I came back to it, I decided to embrace the distressed look and sprayed it with blue tattered mist. Then came the sayings off to the side. The stamped sentiment didn't go on as clear as I would have liked, but then I got to thinking that it could just be part of the distressed look? yeah, that's right, it was INTENTIONAL, yep, sure was!

Oh, and thank God for smart phones, so when I get trapped having to watch Wizards of Waverly Place on Disney, I can still snuggle with my kids and view my dear blogs. I guess that's called multi-tasking??

Supplies: tattered Angels mist, stamp: Hero Arts

Here is the inspiration board:

I have another submission for this challenge, see you tomorrow!

A Spot O' Tea

I am entering this in Hero Arts Challenge: Friendship and Hello Cards. Hands down it is the cutest tea cup stamp EVER! And my favorite paper of any color, size, type? Polka Dots. Hence the title-Spot O' Tea. AAAAAAAAhhhhh, funny hu?

I am in love with the card and feel a HOARDING compulsion coming on...going to have to be a pretty spectacular person to get me to let this one go!

Supplies: Stamp set Hero Arts, bakers twine, patterned paper Making Memories Just Chillin' collection, heart gems Hero Arts.

The black embossing powder sprayed on it a bit and there wasn't much I could do to save it, but it kind of looks like steam, so I went with it! :)

Moxi Fab Challenge: Using Punches

Today I am entering another challenge by Moxi Fab World.

Here is the link if you want to check it out.

http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2012/01/cool-tools-week-punches-challenge.html

Sadly, I didn't win my other challenge contests, but the competition is stiff out there in card making land.  I am not one to mope too long about a loss, so here we go!  :)

I used the windows punch by Stampin Up! to create a contemporary card. Pretty Easy I must say! The trick is to get papers that coordinate.

Stamping this little beauty made me realize I need to get some more stamp pads, the bottom of the happy birthday was not as crisp as I like, but I didn't want to risk having a blurred sentiment by trying to stamp over it. Sometimes, you just have to let it go!

Supplies: Word windows punch by Stampin Up! and stamp Hero Arts.

Thanks for visiting and if you want to say something nice, leave a comment, cause a girl could use a kind word about her cards, especially after a loss...hint hint.

Runway Inspired Challenge #3

I am entering my first card challenge!

I was inspired by the black and white color...AND the fact that she's really thin. :)

Hope I did this right! I am a novice blogger!
