Moxi Fab World Tuesday Trigger and the MOJO

Good Day!

Hi my name is Wida and it has been 3 weeks since my last card.

(this is where you say "HELLO WIDA, tell us your story")

Well, I lost my mojo for a bit. The loss is something I had never experienced before. I tried to fix it by browsing Pinterest, buying gobs of stuff, and talking with my friends. Yet, nothing was helping, until a make it or break it moment last night with fellow Paper Crafts Magazine Gallery Idol Girls Erin, Amy, Heather, Miriam, Taheerah, JJ, Laurie, Nina...well just about all of them actually!

There were tense moments as I was submitting progress reports to headquarters (aka facebook) looking for feedback. The Tuesday Trigger was identified as my target and a comfortable place to begin creating again. Here is the photo.

With the threat of losing my imaginary GI  badge and after many hours of procrastination, I present to you my card:

supplies: sentiment, diamond grid background stamp, small label and label frame stamp all CSS, wood veneers SC

The spoon and knife are represented by the man and lady wood veneers, the texture is shown through the textured top, and I kept to circle theme in the rounded word window punch and circle punch on the tag, and it IS a dinner party hence the sentiment!

Let's hope this is the beginning of a great new mojo filled blog!

Wida

  1. So happy to see your mojo has returned. We all lose it sometimes, but thankfully it always comes back! Beautiful card Wida!!

  2. Love your non-literal take on the Trigger Wida! Love how you used people to represent the masulinity and femininity of the knife and spoon, and you know I *adore* that background!! Glad the intervention helped! ;-)

  3. Now how cute is this! Those wood veneer people look so perfect inside the frame on your tag - cuteness!

  4. I love it! Every little thing about it - you nailed your challenge!

  5. Aren't inspiration photos great? I'm sure you were over-analyzing the reasons for your mojo's hiatus... IMO perusing Pinterest does not solve the problem. Just allows the procrastination to continue. My solution? Go outside and take a walk. Works wonders.
Love your take on the photo BTW. I love potty people. Well, not literally, but I love the graphic nature of them.

  6. Welcome back... not that your hiatus means anything in the grand scheme (imagine if you'd be lying on a beach somewhere soaking up the rays and not worrying about crafting?).

  7. I totally hear ya on the mojo thing! Mine does that to me quite often. But this card, this beauty.... I'm so glad your mojo is back... I love it! It's so refreshing and cool!

  8. Oh Wida...I know what you're talking about. Mo mojo has been gone for a couple of weeks now. It really is making me nervous :(
I've started 2 cards today. Ugh. Neither is working. AND they're for a submission call.

Anyway, your mojo is certainly back! I love the colors and textures :)

  22. Hello, Wida. It's wonderful to have you back, pulled out of the grasp of "nojo" and back into the realm of "mojo!" I'd say you have gone all the way back into Creativity Land with this genius card for the Tuesday Trigger challenge. Sometimes the best adjective is simply, "WOW!"

  23. Huh, that is SO cool how you threaded the ribbon through the window you cut out for your sentiment. And that background stamp is such a must-have. I wonder why more stamp companies don't make dense patterns like that. Seems I'm always in need and have nothing like that. So good to see you back : )
