Good Day!
Hi my name is Wida and it has been 3 weeks since my last card.
(this is where you say "HELLO WIDA, tell us your story")
Well, I lost my mojo for a bit. The loss is something I had never experienced before. I tried to fix it by browsing Pinterest, buying gobs of stuff, and talking with my friends. Yet, nothing was helping, until a make it or break it moment last night with fellow Paper Crafts Magazine Gallery Idol Girls Erin, Amy, Heather, Miriam, Taheerah, JJ, Laurie, Nina...well just about all of them actually!
There were tense moments as I was submitting progress reports to headquarters (aka facebook) looking for feedback. The Tuesday Trigger was identified as my target and a comfortable place to begin creating again. Here is the photo.
supplies: sentiment, diamond grid background stamp, small label and label frame stamp all CSS, wood veneers SC
The spoon and knife are represented by the man and lady wood veneers, the texture is shown through the textured top, and I kept to circle theme in the rounded word window punch and circle punch on the tag, and it IS a dinner party hence the sentiment!
Let's hope this is the beginning of a great new mojo filled blog!
Wida
So happy to see your mojo has returned. We all lose it sometimes, but thankfully it always comes back! Beautiful card Wida!!
ReplyDeleteLove your non-literal take on the Trigger Wida! Love how you used people to represent the masulinity and femininity of the knife and spoon, and you know I *adore* that background!! Glad the intervention helped! ;-)
ReplyDeleteNow how cute is this! Those wood veneer people look so perfect inside the frame on your tag - cuteness!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Every little thing about it - you nailed your challenge!
ReplyDeleteAren't inspiration photos great? I'm sure you were over-analyzing the reasons for your mojo's hiatus... IMO perusing Pinterest does not solve the problem. Just allows the procrastination to continue. My solution? Go outside and take a walk. Works wonders.
ReplyDeleteLove your take on the photo BTW. I love potty people. Well, not literally, but I love the graphic nature of them.
Welcome back... not that your hiatus means anything in the grand scheme (imagine if you'd be lying on a beach somewhere soaking up the rays and not worrying about crafting?).
ReplyDeleteI totally hear ya on the mojo thing! Mine does that to me quite often. But this card, this beauty.... I'm so glad your mojo is back... I love it! It's so refreshing and cool!
ReplyDeleteOh Wida...I know what you're talking about. Mo mojo has been gone for a couple of weeks now. It really is making me nervous :(
ReplyDeleteI've started 2 cards today. Ugh. Neither is working. AND they're for a submission call.
Anyway, your mojo is certainly back! I love the colors and textures :)
This is beautiful Wida! Love it!!! I'm glad you're back! Now I need to make something and post it to my very neglected blog :)
ReplyDeleteLove, love, and more love!
ReplyDeleteI'd say your mojo is back in full force! I love the wood cuts and window to the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome card Wida! Love your interpretation and love the color scheme! It is a winner in my book!
ReplyDeleteOh, I hate it when the mojo goes wandering! It looks like yours has come back in healthy condition. This is a great take on the Tuesday Trigger!
ReplyDeleteHi Wilda, love this card, it's really classy and the little man and woman work perfectly!

ReplyDeleteHey Wida! Thanks for linking this up to this week's Tuesday Trigger in the Moxie Fab World! I'm so glad you joined in on all the fun! :)
ReplyDeleteYou've captured the elegance but still make this fun, well done!
ReplyDeleteHello, Wida. It's wonderful to have you back, pulled out of the grasp of "nojo" and back into the realm of "mojo!" I'd say you have gone all the way back into Creativity Land with this genius card for the Tuesday Trigger challenge. Sometimes the best adjective is simply, "WOW!"
ReplyDeleteHuh, that is SO cool how you threaded the ribbon through the window you cut out for your sentiment. And that background stamp is such a must-have. I wonder why more stamp companies don't make dense patterns like that. Seems I'm always in need and have nothing like that. So good to see you back : )
ReplyDeleteFantastic take on the Trigger! It is wonderful in so many ways. I am off to become a new follower.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to see lots of lovely comments on this post! To start with they are so well deserved as this is a fabulous well thought out card. Also it's lovely to see everyone backing 'one of our own' through the dreaded loss of mojo!
