Saw a new challenge called Keep It Simple from Lyndal Higgins blog and thought I would give it a go. The topic is "things with wings". Since the topic was butterflies, I am also going to enter this in the Fusion Challenge as well!
Ever have a really great stamp but no matching die? Well have no fear! I stamped this Penny Black butterfly in gold and then just die cut it with another butterfly die. It gave an off center artsy look to the butterflies that I thought looked pretty :)
Supplies all Penny Black:
Heart Swatches stamp
Wow. This is breathtaking!

ReplyDeleteThis is GORGEOUS, Wida! Love how your butterflies turned out----and such a great tip as I, too, have butterfly stamps and a butterfly punch, but no coordinating dies. Will have to try this out! YAY! And I love your glittery flowers and the subtle way you added interest to the background with the white die-cut words. Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteHow have you got that effect on the poppies? Oh from reading the other comments is it glitter? It almost looks like a bokeh effect to me!!
ReplyDeleteArtsy butterflies, sparkly flowers, cool layout, white die-cuts = AAHHH-Mazing!! Love it!
