Today I am guesting with Winnie & Walter Stamps! Check out details here. I made this card using scraps...SCORE.
Let me tell you why I love the stamps:
1. The slatter looks REAL
2. the fonts are fabulous
3. the background stamps are versatile
4. the cut files are a must have (THEY HAVE CUT FILES PEOPLE!!)
For this card, I used Big Bang Confetti and The Big, The, Bold and the Happy.
So I am a little sad about Archiver's going out of business. It's kinda hitting me hard. Where will I go to SEE the products? To hang out with crafty friends? To destress? I remember when my son was little and he wasn't talking and I was worried as they told me it might be Autism, that I would go to Archivers and just walk laps around the store destressing. It was so therapeutic to get lost in crafty goodness. There is something about paper than makes you feel happy of the possibilities. Those are days I will never forget.
After lots of speech and OT, my son is talking just fine now. He is soft and gentle and sweet and kind and smart and I wouldn't trade him for another boy for the whole world.
Lucky duck! I love their products and you have showcased them perfectly! Love this card!!
ReplyDeleteUm, this is really cool, I love your balanced and controlled chaos, maybe chaos is not the right work, but just how everything is not square/centered, but yet it all comes out balanced in the whole. That is a gift!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! I love the "love" font and the pretty hearts and the splatters and the stitching. ALL of it!
ReplyDeleteLooks terrific, Jo x
ReplyDeleteWork of art! Love the elements - some of this, some of that, a bit this way, another bit that...harmony emerges! Fabulous!

ReplyDeleteOh, this is gorgeous, Wida! I love it!
ReplyDeleteSo darn cute!!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm really bummed about Archiver's too. I remember the first time I went there and being so impressed that their was a wide world of crafting supplies outside of Michael's. An end of an era yesterday.
ReplyDeleteAwesome use of the w&w stamps!! Love your style : )
Hi Wida! Your card is great--don't you love that pink crate paper pattern used for the banner? I can't get enough of thae DIY shop paper pack-just bought a 12x12 pack. I like how you kept the spine part of the paper on the striped pattern so the typewriter peeks through. You know what else? I had to do a double take because your card at first appeared to be a framed card with the Love sentiment part dropped in or inset. However, I notice you actually used the watercolor paper from the set-- what a trompe l'oeil! Makes the card even more cool. Happy belated Valentine's Day. Hope you are well!
ReplyDeleteLove those dots... I think I have a very unhealthy obsession for dot stamps (I mean... they are just... dots....) And I loveeee the cut files! So so glad to have bought a silhouette cutter!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this cad. Love their stamps, too. Loved reading your post today...you must be the best mom in the world.
ReplyDeleteoops...*card

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card, Wida!! I just saw it on Pinterest last night and thought it was so unique and beautiful. And, by the way, there's nothing wrong with a sweet and gentle boy--this mama has one, too, and I'm kinda glad he's not a bruiser!
