For WCMD a bunch of bloggers got together and I sat next to my talented i {heart} papers design team member and now friend Stacey Schafer. She sure knows her way around patterned paper and twine. I watched her die cut and layer to make a fabulous treat bag for her kids halloween party (you can see a pic of the project and everyone who came to celebrate World Card Making Day in Colorado HERE. It inspired me to try my hands at some patterned paper manipulation too.
My card is very normal. but cute :) I think I was so busy trying to make all the elements work that I couldn't think of anything dynamic to do! Isn't that ok sometimes?

Well Your card is cute...I like the wonky stitches.
ReplyDeleteI guess the world is dotty over dots.I'm sticking with the plaid though.
The moral of the story is Elena is right? Ha! I still like the square card ;) And I like this one too, like the patterned paper choices and the stitching.
ReplyDeleteOops, missed the poll. Better go see what that was all about. I love those little pink hearts on this cutie. So whimsical.
ReplyDeletelove this adorable card, Wida! fabulous use of paper and twine, my friend!
ReplyDeleteWida my friend... most of my cards are, as you described "normal but cute" (or insert 'elegant' or whatever in the field). If I worried about dynamic factor as well, I might as well quit stamping tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteI love this card, I think it's the sweetest thing ever and I for one would squeal if I saw something like this in my mailbox :)
Wida, no card you make is ever just normal, but always fabulous. Super jealous of your fun party, but so glad you all had a great time!
ReplyDeleteOh I think your card is just adorable!! If that's your normal then normal is amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, your card is very very cute, Wida! The most important, at least for me, is the process, what we learn from experience, and how it please us... of course others recognition is also important, but first we have to take out something for ourselves.
ReplyDeleteAbout the poll, you seem quite pro to my eyes; the proof for that is you had doubts, something didn't seem right... besides, no one told you to use polka dots in first place, it was your idea :). You just followed your heart and the opinion of someone you trust and love.
Now... why do I have the feeling that I sound like a bad psychologist? (good ones don't talk so much) :)
hello cute card!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing I don't like about your card, Wida...It's full of charming whimsey. Very sweet. Loving your 'normal'! Bev
ReplyDeleteSuper sweet card, Wida! Your WCMD sounds fabulous! I saw your photo on Danielle Flander's blog and recognized you immediately.... and was jealous that she got to stamp with you! ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, I only just read this! Go me! You do know i'm in the UK, right? I won't hold you to it if you would rather draw it again and send it to someone a little closer!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Wida!!!
