You know when you are little and don't appreciate the deliciousness of a good zucchini? Well that's how I am with people imaged stamps. I wasn't joining that movement, until I met Mimi.
This little Penny Black girl named Mimi has stolen my heart. And sadly, I don't color so it's hard to make her shine without also adding copic coloring skills to my design repertoire. Slowly easing into this medium, so be nice :)
Supplies:
Stamps: Penny Black Mimi's Farm, April Showers, chat bubbles die
Copics
I am entering this in Casual Fridays Challenge: BUTTONS! see the little button brad on her hat :)
and Penny Black Beat the Heat Challenge!
This is SUPAH cute, girl!!! You are rockin' yo Copics too?? Watch out, now...lol!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet, Wida! I avoid people stamps & I don't colour.
ReplyDeleteAdorable card Wida! I, too, avoid people stamps. I'll do a bit of coloring on an animal stamp occasionally. But people? Nope.
ReplyDeleteHi Wilda, I struggle with people- hair and skin drive me made. Blue practice does (usually) make perfect. Lovely card, Rebecca x
ReplyDeleteI was the same - didn't really get into people stamps - but then I fell in love with the little girl in MFTs Pure Innocence stamps - this one in particular http://www.mftstamps.com/clear-stamps/Pure-Innocence?product_id=1021 I sometimes colour her using Copics, but I often paper piece her dress (like I think you've paper pieced Mimi's hat- so cute!) BTW, I just adore the way you've coloured the clouds!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you- & yet I'm coming around too. I'm beginning the whole 'learn how to colour' thing & I'm even starting to like cute (just a little). Love what you've done- & she is lovely!
ReplyDeletecute cute cute!! love her polka dotty hat and your coloring! adorable card!
ReplyDeleteAwww...so Adorable Wida :)
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute! I love the button on her hat and the fringed hills!
ReplyDeleteYour copic skills are pretty darn good if you ask me...such a sweet card! I totally paper piece since I'm not that great at coloring...I also find water colors a little easier to work with as well.
ReplyDeleteYou did awesome!!! I'm not really into people stamps, but this is cute!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable card! I think your coloring is fantastic, too...Looks like Mimi really inspired you :-)
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job!! Your shading and highlights are wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way, but there are some Ketto girl stamps that are so adorable, that I'm seriously thinking of getting into 'people' stamps!
ReplyDeleteI love your card, it is so cute! And your colouring is great!
this little mimi is beautiful! and the card is amazing!!
ReplyDeletei have a blog too! come and enjoy all my posts if you want!
I know exactly what you mean!! There were a few stamps that convinced me though.
ReplyDeleteWho can resist a little Mimi in their life? Great coloring and love the texture on those hills!
ReplyDeleteAnimals are the closest thing I've come to people. Perhaps one of these days. Way to branch out and try new things! She's adorable in a very "Wida" way, love it : )
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you at CAS-ual Fridays!!
Adorable scene! Sometimes I can color well but overall...eh, it's not my thing. Thanks for playing with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
