For my birthday, my friend Marcy gave me this cool garland by My Mind's Eye.
I love this garland, the colors, the cute factor, makes me want to covet it, admire it, and never ever use it. (see? it's still in the package) UNTIL, I tried making one! Here's how it's done...
STEP TWO: punch them out with a 1 inch punch. It fits perfectly. (Alyssa is a genius)
STEP THREE: feed the circles into your sewing machine setting it to a small straight stitch.
STEP FOUR: Use as you wish!
I turned some of the circles over to the white side for some visual interest. For the sentiment, I used Mustache Mania stamp set.
Ok, that's it for me!
PS...TOMORROW IS THE BIG BLOG HOP HOSTED BY THE GALLERY IDOL GIRLS OF 2012 WITH BIG PRIZES! SEE YOU THEN!

OOH, like this idea! Simple and effective, my kind of card. I have missed afew of your posts- the hello challenge I particularly like.
ReplyDeleteStill here just didn't feel like blogging, you know how it is.
Fabulous!!! I've never tried using a stamp with my punch, just plain circles. I've also only made larger garlands, so I definitely have to try this on a smaller scale. Don't know why I haven't thought of that before. Love your card, too! Thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the banner idea! Can't wait for the hop :)
ReplyDeletePerfect idea, and so cute!

Nice card :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you fed those little circles into the machine! I don't think I can ever do that. I used a sewing machine once or twice years and years ago, wasn't my thing at all... the machine seemed to have its own mind :)
Looking forward to the blog hop tomorrow.
This is classic Wida design! What was that that Susan O. said? Pretty with an edge? Totally pretty with a modern, eclectic feel! Love it!
ReplyDeleteYour garland is great, love it!! Very versatile too. Good idea!
ReplyDeleteHehehe, this card is so cute ^_^ I wasn't aware that I didn't have a "follow" link on my blog (well, I didn't think I'd need one XD) I've added it onto the sidebar, so perhaps it'll work? Hehe :P
ReplyDeletelove your garland on kraft...awesome!
