Masculine Card

You know what there is NOT a lot of out there? Masculine cards! There are a THOUSAND flower cards, but try to Pinterest search a guy card and it's limited at best. So a PERSONAL challenge to self to make a card for a doc I work with (and there are a LOT of them, which is why this problem came to mind lately). Here is what I made:

I think the BEST cards come when you are not restricted in supplies and make stuff using your goodies.  And to not panic when the stamping isn't perfect, but just keep going and see what happens. Kinda like life, you know?

Gonna enter this is Virginia's View challenge this month: METALLICS! The entries there are really pretty!

Supplies:
Emphemera: Crate Paper Boys Rule
Star: Fancy Pants
Star stamps: Paper Smooches Space Cadet
Gold Trianges: Mama Elephant
Twine: Maya Road
Tim Holz Tiny Attacher
Ink: Hero Arts Black
Gold Embossing powder: Hero Arts

QUESTION: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE GUY CARD? LINK UP BELOW SO I CAN CHECK THEM OUT!

  3. Love this, Wida! The '#1' ribbon is my fave touch.

May I share one of my fave masculine cards that I have made? It was for my hubby: http://www.colleendietrichdesigns.com/2013/04/birthday-card-for-my-guy.html?m=1

I have actually come to like doing cards for guys. If you type in 'masculine' in the searchbox at my blog, you can see others as well.

Hope all is well with you. I enjoy reading all of your posts in my inbox! Hugs!

  4. I agree. Manly cards are hard to find, and sometimes hard to create. Too many have deer or boats on them....(which I like, but they've been overdone...at least in my world...). Your card is wonderfully masculine. Love it to bits! I'm sure the doc who'll receive it will be delighted! Well done! Bev

  8. JUST like life!! I love that you kept going. My guy cards always seem to be dull because I avoid layers and embellishments, and often even color!! Your card is so very interesting, yet still perfectly masculine!
