My brother's girls turn 4 and their birthday party is this Saturday. One of the many reasons I wanted to move back to Ohio was so that I could be part of these little girls lives and not miss moments like these. I only have one brother and well, these cuties mean so much to me. My sister in law gave me some suggestions so I whipped up these little fun cards. I hope they like them!
For Ava, I made this cat card with fun balloons! Cat is from a set with Mimi called
Frosty Fun and balloon dies are also from Penny Black. I was inspired by
Jean Manis. She makes really nice CAS cards with die cuts. No frills, just nice scenes with die cuts and I like the impact her work has.
For Mia I made a penguin card. This little guy was a gift from Jennifer Ingle! It stamps wonderfully and was so cute, there wasn't much need for much else! The hill was created with JJ's die cut set called
Custom Panels. I masked the penguin so I could spray the background with some Mr. Huey's. The sentiment comes from Nina's set by Waffleflower called
Bowtiful.
All my friends are designing things...I can barely color.
Super cute cards and even super cuter little ladies!! :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute cards & nieces Wida!!!
ReplyDeleteThose little girls don't even look real, Wida, they look like dolls! You all have such beautiful-baby-making genes in your family. That could sound so wrong but I think you know what I mean. I love that you are going to be such a bigger part of their lives and I'm sure they will each love the sweet cards that you made and that they'll keep them forever!! That's a way better legacy than knowing how to color or how to design things. Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThose girls are absolutely precious!! How wonderful it is to be near family. You made some adorable cards for those cuties, but I'm sure they will love anything made by Aunt Wida. Next time you're in Columbus, ping me so we can arrange to meet!
ReplyDeleteYour nieces are adorable! I like that you made them totally different cards per their personality/likes. Well done, Aunt Wida!
ReplyDeleteThese are so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are darling, Wida... but those girls??!! Adorable!
ReplyDeleteThose littles are adorable and so are your cards! Aren't you so glad you moved back to Ohio so you could be closer to me . . er . .I mean your family. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh those girls are just gorgeous and your cards are so fun!
ReplyDeleteYour nieces are absolutely adorable...So happy for you to be closer to family!
ReplyDeleteBOTH of your cards are so fabulous...cute cute cute!
So cute! I love how different/individualized their cards are. That cat is so cute, I love all the fun sequins and love the splatter on the penguin card!
ReplyDeleteOh, these are both so cute! Your nieces have the same birthday as my daughter, Sage.....
ReplyDeleteDarling...your nieces and the cards! I'm still chuckling about your "barely color" comment. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally understand how being part of your darling nieces' lives is important to you, given that my Ms. T is also 4. They grow up way, way too fast! I send her Happy Month-old cards every month (obviously...), and I'm so thrilled that she likes them. This weekend, she's asked me to bring my cuttlebug and fairy die...apparently we're making fairies for her friends. I'm game! Your cards for your nieces: pure delights. They'll treasure them forever...
