Case Study Muse Week 2

Week as the Case Study Muse and below was the chosen card  ever make a card and then wonder why all the praise? That's how I felt about this card. I put a bunch of washi in the window portion of the card and down the side. That was the edgy element I incorporated. It was for Runway Inspired Challenge and it was really fun to make because RIC appreciates edgy.

For my Case I used an impression plate instead of textured paper. I also added some more colors but tried to stay in the same color family.  And instead of so much washi, I took a more tamed approach to the window of the card.

We moved to Ohio about a week ago. Our family of 6 is staying with my mom. It's been great. I am still searching for a perfect card photo spot though. For now this little corner will have to do. You don't realize all the small changes a move will bring until you do them. One of the changes is my beloved photo window.

Here is a close up of the card's "window". Check out what the fabulous design team did HERE.  I hope you will play :)

  10. Too funny, I was just chatting with Jingle about this very topic today ... how it's a surprise when more than one person really seems to like a card that you were just kinda "meh" about. And, congrats on your move in progress! It's great you have a place to stay in the meantime, but I bet it takes adjusting to.

Love the bunch of flowers you have on your thanks a bunch card!!

  12. Just the leaves appearing on the trees mess up my photo corner. ;) I love your muse card and the new one. In fact, those flowers are so cool...what company are they from? I LOVE the color scheme of the flowers too. Our family of five lived for three months with my in-laws in transit...prayers! I felt so bad for our hosts...LOL.

  14. Before you know it, you'll be all settled in a place of your own with a photo corner that suits your needs to a 'tee.' This photo captures your beautiful CASE of your first card perfectly. Gorgeous colors and those flowers are amazing. Love your window on this one. Really wonderful. Bev

  16. Wida, both your cards are gorgeous! The 'edgy' washi in the window of the first, paired with the yellow flower, works beautifully. Your 'case' is equally as lovely, with the window, flowers and embossing you've added! Again, a work of art that brings a mega-watt smile to my face! Looks like you're ready to embark on some new adventures with your recent move! Time with your mom: cool! As for that perfect photo window...sighhh...same challenge at my place. Your photo here, though, looks mighty wonderful to me!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to you and your mom! Hope plenty of pampering and spoiling are coming your way! Hugs~c

  17. Gorgeous!!! As always :D

The weird thing is that whenever I walk into an open house... the first thing that comes to mind is a good photo space... and second is a decent room for crafting XD

  18. Hi Wida, I just wanted to thank you so much for your lovely comments about my card for this challenge. I'm still shocked that I got into the Top 3 but loved making this card. I'm a huge fan of yours, so to get a comment from you is like getting a comment from Angelina Jolie!!!
