This month's muse at Case Study Challenge is Laura Bassen. The concept of the challenge is to be inspired by her. Well, that's not a new concept for me because she inspires me with every card creation. So, entering this challenge was a regular day for me, except I wanted to go the extra mile. I express it best in this letter:
Dear Laura,
For a whole week, I tried to figure out a design that would impress you. In my effort to try to honor your muse-ness, I think I choked under the pressure. Here it is:
Your admirer,
Wida
I was trying to make that little slit special. At first I was going to make a gift card holder and put a gift card in the slit. Then I thought polka dots was the way to go. The sentiment with its handwritten last word made me pull out my happy trails set from PTI. My husband says I use too much white (what???) so I tried my hand at a gray card base. Lastly, it took all my strength to KEEP THE CARD FLAT. I had to raise the entire card on pop ups so the stitching can show, but I kept wanting to add more layers to it.
So anyhoo, there it is...
And here is Laura's masterpiece for Case Study Challenge #83:
Bye!
Wida
You're gonna make me too big for my britches if you keep talking like that! You are too kind! I love your stitches, fabulous! Those birds are so pretty, they almost look like chalk? Never underestimate the power of white space. Hubby's don't get it, poor things:)Gorgeous case, Wida!
