The Evolution of a Satisfactory Card: Case Study #74

I was perusing one of my favorite blogs: http://mypapersecret.blogspot.com/ and found a link for a card challenge. Reading blogs is like a big domino effect with one new opportunity for creativity after another.

Case Study Challenge can be found here. The object is to be inspired by a beautiful card and here it is...

It's by Jennifer Rzasa. Pretty spectacular isn't it? All the colors, the unique shapes...so I tried my hand at it. First I created this:

I was trying to make a shaped card, but it seemed too dark...so I tried this:

It still wasn't right, maybe too simple? But I liked the energy of it. Soooo I came up with my final design:

And I am pretty happy with it! Not a winner I think cuz tho border isn't perfectly even all the way around and it is bothering me a bit. It's hard to measure up sometimes, but I feel like these woman make me push harder. I have never done that before, and it's a nice change to expect more of myself.  See you next time!

  7. Hey there! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog.
Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I'm thinking
about creating my own but I'm not sure where to begin. Do you have any points or suggestions? Cheers

  8. Wow that was odd. I just wrote an extremely long comment but after
I clicked submit my comment didn't show up. Grrrr... well I'm not
writing all that over again. Regardless, just wanted to say superb blog!

  9. Its like you read my thoughts! You seem to know a lot approximately this, such as you wrote the e-book in it
or something. I believe that you just can do with a few % to
pressure the message home a little bit, however instead of that,
this is great blog. An excellent read. I will definitely be back.

  10. Admiring the commitment you put into your blog and detailed information you present.
It's nice to come across a blog every once in a while that isn't the
same out of date rehashed material. Excellent read!
I've bookmarked your site and I'm adding your RSS feeds to my Google

  11. Hey there would you mind sharing which blog platform you're using? I'm looking to start my own blog soon but I'm having a tough time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I'm
    looking for something completely unique.
P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!
