The Evolution of a Satisfactory Card: Case Study #74

I was perusing one of my favorite blogs: http://mypapersecret.blogspot.com/ and found a link for a card challenge. Reading blogs is like a big domino effect with one new opportunity for creativity after another.

Case Study Challenge can be found here. The object is to be inspired by a beautiful card and here it is...

It's by Jennifer Rzasa. Pretty spectacular isn't it? All the colors, the unique shapes...so I tried my hand at it. First I created this:

I was trying to make a shaped card, but it seemed too dark...so I tried this:

It still wasn't right, maybe too simple? But I liked the energy of it. Soooo I came up with my final design:

And I am pretty happy with it! Not a winner I think cuz tho border isn't perfectly even all the way around and it is bothering me a bit. It's hard to measure up sometimes, but I feel like these woman make me push harder. I have never done that before, and it's a nice change to expect more of myself.  See you next time!

  7. Hey there! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog.
Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I'm thinking
about creating my own but I'm not sure where to begin. Do you have any points or suggestions? Cheers
